Google is expanding its Home Service Ad markets and might be coming to your area soon.

The ads will appear at the top of first page search results for local services. The ads are designed to be lead generators and consumer can call and message the provider right from the ad itself on the search results page. Providers are then notified by phone, email and notifications from the Home Service’s mobile app.

Back in 2015, Google started testing out its Home Services Ads concept in San Francisco. Since that time, the ad format has changed and expanded to other cities. HSAs are now available in several California cities and Philadelphia and, according to online sources; Phoenix, Atlanta, Seattle, San Diego and Baltimore are next on the list of cities to be added.

According to one source, appliance repair will be a category offered. However, at this time, it is not listed as an official category by Google:


This program involves more than just paying for ad placement. Your business needs to be invited to be part of the program and providers must also go through a screening process conducted on the behalf of Google. Read more about the screening process:
